Whose Side Are You On

I’ve picked my side.

I have been on a steep learning curve for the past two months. My guiding prayer has always been to let my heart break for the things that break the heart of God.

This. This inhumanity cannot stand. The change begins with me and millions of women globally like me - regardless of color. We are successful, intelligent, articulate, compassionate, and fucking fed up.

This. There is no excuse for this. We are all God’s children and it defies all that is Holy to stand by in comfortable silence. This irreverence cannot stand.

This. This is my line in the sand. Get in, get well, or get out. Jesus said to pick a side (paraphrase of Revelations 3:15-16) For my Christian friends, WWJD is about compassion and justice, not nationalism and fearful arrogance.

This. You were born for this. You are ready for this. You are equipped for this. Children of God are unbiased, heart-full, compassionate souls who stand with the least of these, my brothers against oppression, violence and greed.

We are all in this together. It’s time to row in harmony.

Don’t Fight, Don’t Flee, Just Stand. I will train, empower and equip as many as have the courage to clear their own baggage first and embrace their true calling in the midst of this drama.

This is the End of silence and complicity.
This is life or death.
I choose Life. Won’t you join me?
